I tried to fight against Max, but he had a good race, and he came out on top, and they deserved it,” he stated, acknowledging Red Bull’s superiority. “So nothing more. Second was our best result, and I just need to keep doing what I’m doing.”
The race kicked off with an intense showdown between Norris and Verstappen, with the McLaren driver even venturing onto the grass as they battled for dominance. Ultimately, he finished nearly 20 seconds behind, admitting that McLaren simply couldn’t match the blistering pace of Red Bull on this occasion. “It was still enjoyable, but we just did not have the speed today, not the pace of Max and the Red Bull. So a tricky one, one of the first few weekends where we’re just a bit slower,” Norris lamented.
