Lando Norris Faces Shocking Lap Deletions at Monza: A Heartbreaker for the McLaren Star!

In a stunning turn of events at the Italian Grand Prix, the FIA has confirmed that McLaren’s rising star, Lando Norris, has been hit hard by lap deletions during qualifying, shaking up the grid and leaving fans reeling! Norris had seemed poised to snatch pole position, only to be overshadowed by reigning champion Max Verstappen, who not only claimed his 45th career pole but also shattered the fastest lap record in Formula 1 history at Monza.

As the dust settled, Norris found himself relegated to the second row of the grid, starting in P2, right behind Verstappen, while championship leader Oscar Piastri and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc are set to join him on the second row. But the drama didn’t end there! Just as the excitement reached fever pitch, the FIA dropped a bombshell—Norris was one of four drivers whose lap times were invalidated due to track infringements.

The ruling emerged after the race director’s review, revealing that Norris had failed to adhere to track limits at crucial turns 1, 6, and 7. This misstep led to two of his lap times being wiped from the record. One deletion occurred during his pit stop, while the other was from an early run in the session. Joining Norris in this unfortunate fate were Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson and Williams racers Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon, all left to grapple with the fallout from the FIA’s stringent regulations.

In light of this shocking revelation, here’s the full list of drivers affected by the lap deletions at the 2025 Italian GP, as the tension continues to mount in the world of Formula 1:

1. Carlos Sainz – Williams Racing (Lap Time: 1:20.470) 2. Alexander Albon – Williams Racing (Lap Time: 1:43.018) 3. Lando Norris – McLaren F1 Team (Lap Time: 1:40.393) 4. Liam Lawson – Racing Bulls F1 Team (PIT) 5. Lando Norris – McLaren F1 Team (PIT)

This drama has left fans and pundits questioning the implications for the championship standings as we head into the main event. With Verstappen in commanding form and Norris battling back from this setback, the stage is set for a thrilling showdown. Will Norris reclaim his momentum and rise above the controversy, or will the pressures of F1 continue to mount? Stay tuned as the Italian GP unfolds!
