Suzuki já vendeu mais de 10 milhões de unidades do Swift

The Suzuki Swift is indeed the sales record holder for the Japanese brand, having already surpassed global sales of 10 million units.

This milestone now revealed by Suzuki comes 20 years and 8 months after the launch of the Swift in Japan, which took place in November 2004.

The Swift changed the spirit of automobile production at Suzuki. Since its launch as a global strategic model. Furthermore, the popular model won the title of Car of the Year in Japan and other countries, becoming an emblematic representation of the brand.

Produced in Japan, Hungary, India, China, Pakistan, and Ghana, and sold in over 170 countries and regions, Suzuki has reported that of the more than 10 million units sold worldwide, 60% were marketed in India, 14% in Europe, 8% in Japan, and 18% in other countries. In India, since its launch in 2005, approximately 6 million units have been sold, making the Swift a market leader in its segment.

“It is with great pride that we announce that global cumulative sales of this model have reached 10 million units”, said Toshihiro Suzuki, president of Suzuki Motor Corporation.

“The Swift has grown and become one of Suzuki’s iconic models. It was also the first new model to be produced almost simultaneously in four countries, marking an important milestone in our global expansion. Looking to the future, the Suzuki team will continue to work together to provide valuable products that support the daily mobility of our customers around the world.”, concluded Toshihiro Suzuki.
