F1 Italian GP Shocker: Lewis Hamilton Dominates Practice Amid Ferrari’s Fiery Comeback and FIA Drama!

In a thrilling display of speed and strategy, the 2025 F1 championship rolled into the famed Autodromo Nazionale Monza this weekend for the highly anticipated Italian Grand Prix. Fans witnessed a spectacular showdown as Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc took center stage during the first practice session, igniting hopes of a Ferrari revival on home soil.

Hamilton, donning a tribute to the legendary Niki Lauda on his SF-25, proved he still possesses the magic needed to conquer the track. The British superstar blazed through the circuit, clocking in with an impressive time of 1:20.117 seconds, leaving his teammate Leclerc trailing just behind him. The Scuderia’s dominance was palpable as they showcased their prowess, rekindling the fiery spirit of Ferrari’s past.

But it wasn’t just the Maranello duo stealing the spotlight. Former Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz, now with Williams, emerged as a dark horse, securing a commendable third place. The reigning champion, Max Verstappen, and local favorite Kimi Antonelli were hot on his heels, setting the stage for an explosive race weekend.

However, the excitement was briefly interrupted when Racing Bulls’ Isack Hadjar found himself in a precarious position, skidding through the gravel at the notorious Ascari Chicane. This incident prompted a red flag, invoking a moment of panic as the FIA launched an investigation into a potential violation by Charles Leclerc. In a tense moment on team radio, Leclerc asserted, “I broke as hard as possible!”—a statement that resonated with fans and critics alike.

Fortunately for Leclerc, the FIA responded swiftly, exonerating him from any wrongdoing and allowing the session to continue without further sanctions. The drama didn’t end there as two rookie drivers made their debuts, with Alex Dunne stepping in for Oscar Piastri at McLaren and Paul Aron taking over from Franco Colapinto at Alpine.

As the tension builds, fans eagerly await the next sessions. FP2 is set to kick off later today at 4:00 PM BST, followed by FP3 on Saturday morning at 11:30 AM BST. With the competition heating up and the stakes higher than ever, all eyes are on Monza as the battle for supremacy continues.
