Mercedes mostra o interior do novo GLC elétrico

Mercedes continues to reveal details about the new electric GLC, which it will showcase next week at the Munich auto show, promising to take the German brand into a new era of its electric vehicle strategy.

After revealing details of the exterior of the new model, Mercedes has now shown images of the interior of what is the brand’s first mass-produced model to present the next phase of the “Sensual Purity” design language.

As expected, the interior of the new GLC is characterized by the combination of intuitive digital technology with a fluid design concept that offers the driver and passengers a personal space with great connectivity.

The highlight is the brand new MBUX Hyperscreen, which promises to elevate the interior experience in an unprecedented way, and is equipped with a 39.1-inch screen, the largest ever installed in a Mercedes model.

The high-resolution screen and the innovative matrix backlighting technology with over 1000 individual LEDs feature intelligent zone dimming, allowing simultaneous adjustment of two areas.

The interior design is also defined by a large decorative sculpture that unifies the central console and the instrument panel. A single broad trim element visually connects the two sections in a clean surface with innovative design, elegantly accentuated by ambient lighting along its lower edge.

Depending on the selected options, the console integrates up to two trays for fast induction charging of smartphones, followed by a new control strip with classic buttons.

Note also the climate control system, which briefly changes the color of the ambient lighting and the lighting of the air vents to confirm selections, depending on the configuration.

The door panels are organized and feature grilles that protect the speakers located in the doors, while the design of the leather seats is equally clean and minimalist.

Remember that the new electric GLC, which will make its world premiere on September 7 at the Munich Motor Show (IAA Mobility), will feature an 800-volt electric architecture.

This technology promises to optimize efficiency and performance, significantly reducing charging times when combined with the latest generation of batteries. Fast charging in direct current (DC) with the GLC 400 4Matic can achieve a power of over 320 kW.

Depending on the country, a DC converter is installed, allowing the use of 400-volt charging stations. The model can add about 260 km of electric range in just 10 minutes.

It is already known that the new GLC will be offered in 100% electric and combustion engine versions in the coming years. The fully electric version will be the first model based on the new MB.EA (Mercedes-Benz Electric Architecture) platform.
