The weekend marks Easter, but the World Rally Championship (WRC) is back in action. The Safari Rally Kenya is the third round of the championship, taking place between this Thursday, March 28, and Easter Sunday, April 1.

In the first two rounds of the year, there were two different winners. Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) leads the championship with one victory and a fourth place, totaling 48 points. He has three more than Elfyn Evans (Toyota), who has not yet won. However, he is already the only one of the regular drivers who only has podium finishes. The winner in Sweden last February was Esapekka Lappi (Hyundai), who will be in action in Kenya.

Also returning to the field is Kalle Rovanperä, once again taking the third Toyota. The two-time world champion, who is on a partial program this year, is aiming for top positions after a modest 39th place in Sweden. Adrien Fourmaux (M-Sport Ford) aims to continue surprising after a solid start that included two top-five finishes, while Ott Tänak (Hyundai) did not have the best of starts and will still be aiming for his first podium.

The Safari Rally Kenya consists of 19 special stages, starting with an exciting super special stage this Thursday at 11:05 (Continental Portugal time). It takes place on dirt roads, with 355.92km of timed stages. Get to know the full itinerary and schedule below.
