Leapmotor is preparing to launch its third 100% electric model in Europe, the B10 SUV, aimed at the C segment.
The new model, which complements the existing European lineup currently consisting of the urban T03 and the C10 SUV, will be present at the Munich Motor Show in Germany starting September 8, coinciding with the first deliveries to the European market.
Like the C10, the new B10 is based on the new LEAP 3.5 architecture and features a permanent magnet electric motor with a single-speed transmission, delivering a power output of 218 hp and 240 Nm of torque, transmitted to the rear axle. These figures allow the new B10 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in eight seconds and reach a top speed of 170 km/h.
The electric motor is powered by two LFP battery options, one with 56.2 kWh that claims a range of up to 361 kilometers in the WLTP cycle, and a 67.1 kWh battery for 434 kilometers of range. Both battery variants support AC charging of 11 kW and DC fast charging of up to 168 kW. The latter allows the battery to be charged from 30% to 80% in 20 minutes.
Inside, the highlight is the 14.6’’ floating touchscreen of the infotainment system, equipped with the Leap OS 4.0 Plus operating system, and compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, there is a lower bar that contains the most common controls for the radio and climate control.
The launch of the Leapmotor B10 marks a new stage in the brand’s strategic expansion, after Leapmotor International announced that it has established over 700 sales and service points in about 30 international markets.
By 2025, the Leapmotor B10 will be launched in more than 30 countries and regions, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and South America. Among them, Europe is the main market, where the B10 promises to be one of the most competitive electric SUVs in its class. The brand has already announced that it will reveal the prices of the new B10 for the domestic market soon.
