Bubba Wallace confessa se envolver em comportamento tolo ao longo de 2024.

The Toyota driver had a disappointing 15th place finish in the race at COTA. Bubba Wallace, early in the season, secured two top-five finishes in Daytona and Atlanta. These performances were expected to set a precedent for the 23XI driver in future races. However, this initial momentum did not translate into better results in subsequent races. As a result, the 30-year-old driver now admits that his lack of recent race results is due to his own mistakes.

Bubba Wallace’s recent performance has raised doubts about his ability to secure a third career victory and qualify for the playoffs in 2024, especially after his best season last year. Even at COTA, where several drivers faced difficulties, it could have been a crucial opportunity for the D4D graduate to secure at least a top-ten finish. Unfortunately, he did not succeed.

The 23XI driver explained before the race at COTA that, aside from races at tracks like Daytona and Atlanta, securing a top-ten finish has been a challenging task for him, despite having fast cars. Most of his poor results are a result of his own mistakes during the race. Therefore, he is determined to break free from this string of disappointing performances and show his true potential to make it to the Round of 12 this year, just like he did last year.

Denny Hamlin and Bubba Wallace finished 14th and 15th, respectively, at COTA. At the end of the race, the team owner and driver duo had a minor altercation. The 43-year-old driver admitted that he attempted a move on the 23XI driver, but miscalculated, resulting in contact between them.

Although initially it seemed like a serious incident, both pilots were able to recover and continue racing until the final flag. Although both enjoyed the competitive spirit, it would not have been a pleasant outcome if either of them had encountered issues during the collision.

Despite tensions within the 23XI team, both pilots are focused on maximizing their scoring opportunities during race weekends. Their goal is to elevate Hamlin’s team to higher levels in the series.
