Richard Petty critica COTA, diz que corrida ao vivo é pior do que versão televisada.

The race at COTA had no caution periods throughout the event. The highly anticipated race was expected to be thrilling for fans, with several drivers vying for the win. However, according to several drivers, the race fell short of expectations and was only moderately entertaining. Seven-time Cup champion Richard Petty expressed his disappointment, describing the race as rather lackluster in terms of excitement.

The 68-lap race at COTA was free of yellow flags, a rarity since 2019. William Byron started from the pole position and dominated a significant portion of the race. This led Richard Petty to express his dissatisfaction, stating that experiencing the race in person was even worse than watching it on television.

Petty further explained that the track layout at COTA is not particularly exciting. Compared to shorter tracks like Bristol and Richmond, the track at COTA is much longer. This diminishes the ability of drivers to focus on specific sections of the track and ultimately results in dull races.

Despite being considered a contender for victory at COTA, a driver, whose name was omitted, finished in 14th place and found the race uninteresting. Although this driver won stage 2 of the race, they were unable to maintain their performance and ultimately were disappointed with the race as a whole.

According to this driver, despite several clashes between drivers throughout the field, one driver remained in control from the start of the race. This lack of competition made the race boring and did not provide the usual thrills associated with NASCAR races.

Looking ahead, driver Hamlin will be focused on performing well in his home race at Richmond this week. With his extensive experience on the track, having stood on the podium several times, Hamlin is hoping for a more exciting race than the one at COTA.
