Antigo líder da equipe Haas de Fórmula 1 nomeado embaixador do Grande Prêmio de Miami.

Guenther Steiner, an Italian presenter from RTL F1 TV, has been appointed ambassador for the upcoming Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami in 2024. Steiner previously held the position of Team Principal at Haas, but did not have his contract renewed due to the team’s poor performance. However, it was announced before the start of the season that Steiner would still be involved in F1 through television appearances, starting with the Bahrain Grand Prix. He was also present in Australia last weekend, conducting interviews with the top three drivers after the race. Now, he will be present at the Miami GP in an ambassadorial capacity.

Steiner expressed his excitement at serving as ambassador for the Miami Grand Prix, stating that it has become one of his favorite races of the year. He has witnessed firsthand the impressive growth of Formula 1 in the United States and believes there is great potential for even further expansion, especially with races like Miami on the calendar. He praised the event for combining American spectacle and F1 racing with a vibrant atmosphere both on track and throughout the city.

Since the launch of the Netflix series “Drive to Survive” in 2018, Steiner has gained popularity and become a well-known figure in F1. As a resident of the United States, he recently admitted that he would consider returning to a management role in F1 under the right circumstances. Tyler Epp, president of the Miami GP, described Steiner as a perfect ambassador for the race, highlighting his competitive spirit and clear vision for the future of F1 in America. Epp believes that having someone with Steiner’s experience and reputation attached to the event will increase excitement and take the race weekend to new heights.

The Miami International Autodrome, a temporary track built around the Hard Rock Stadium, will host its third F1 Grand Prix in 2024.
