Sergio Perez reconhece que a saída de Max Verstappen seria um grande revés para a Red Bull.

Sergio Perez recognized that Red Bull Racing would face consequences if Max Verstappen chose to leave Milton Keynes.

The partnership between Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez at Red Bull Racing has been incredibly successful in Formula 1 history. Verstappen joined the team in the middle of 2016 and has achieved remarkable results since then. However, rumors have been circulating about the possibility of the three-time world champion leaving Red Bull. Now, Perez admitted that the team would be impacted if Verstappen decided to go different ways.

Speculations have linked the three-time world champion to Mercedes for the next season. However, Verstappen has dismissed such rumors, making it clear that he will stay at Red Bull at least until 2028.

Perez stated that Red Bull Racing is in an ideal position in terms of team dynamics. The Mexican driver believes that the engineering department in Milton Keynes is unified, and the results on the track have shown improved efficiency compared to the previous season. This comes after rumors of a division within the team due to the controversy surrounding Christian Horner’s investigation.

Perez emphasized that he sees no reason for a change in the dynamics of Red Bull Racing. However, the 34-year-old driver confessed that if Max Verstappen were to leave Milton Keynes, it would be a major setback for the entire team.

Max Verstappen and Red Bull have dominated Formula 1 in the last two seasons. Despite missing the Australian Grand Prix, Verstappen remains the favorite for the 2024 world title, thanks to the innovative design of the RB20 car. Furthermore, it seems that the team has overcome the controversy surrounding Christian Horner’s investigation after the suspension of an employee.

Perez believes that Red Bull Racing is in an enviable position. The 34-year-old driver highlighted the impressive on-track results achieved by the team in Milton Keynes and the harmony within the group. Additionally, Sergio Perez stated that it would take years for rival teams to reach the current state of Red Bull Racing, despite previous controversies.

Indeed, it seems that the situation at Red Bull Racing is returning to normal. Verstappen’s clear commitment to stay in Milton Keynes indicates a calm atmosphere within the Austrian team. As a result, the current world champions can now fully focus on their goal of winning the world championship this season.
