Denny Hamlin revela única exigência para 23XI Racing garantir acordo com piloto em tempo integral.

Denny Hamlin may consider a possible move to 23XI Racing. The NBA Hall of Famer made his entry into NASCAR in 2021 alongside Joe Gibbs Racing. Over the past three years, the Toyota team has stood out as one of the most exciting and fast-growing in the sport. They recently unveiled their state-of-the-art race shop, Airspeed, worth millions of dollars. The team aims to become a championship contender by 2025.

In a recent interview, Denny Hamlin was asked about the possibility of driving for 23XI Racing and becoming teammates with two other drivers. The three-time Daytona 500 winner expressed his willingness to race full-time for his own team, but with one condition. He would only make the switch to 23XI if their cars could match the performance level of his JGR Camrys and compete for championships.

Although the Bristol race winner showed some skepticism about joining 23XI, he acknowledged that his team is gradually catching up and could potentially match JGR in terms of pace. This upward performance trajectory may attract Hamlin to change alliances and witness a new partnership between owner and team on the track. However, it is highly unlikely that the change will happen, as Hamlin has repeatedly stated his desire to retire with JGR.

Since the team’s inception, Hamlin and Michael Jordan have reportedly invested millions of dollars in 23XI Racing. However, ongoing revenue disputes between teams and NASCAR have created uncertainty about the series’ future.

Hamlin believes he cannot invest more money in the team due to the ongoing disputes. Additionally, his confidence has been shaken by recent decisions, and he fears that everything could collapse in a matter of seconds if the right choices are not made.
