The new Fiat 600 hybrid is now available for order, in a range that marks the Italian brand’s reentry into the B segment, starting at €23,950.
The hybrid powertrain uses a 3-cylinder, 1.2-liter combustion engine, capable of delivering up to 100 hp, and the new electrified 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, which includes the 29 hp electric motor, the inverter, and the central transmission unit.
The 48V lithium-ion battery allows the new Fiat 600 hybrid to operate with the internal combustion engine turned off in certain situations, a mode activated during city driving below 30 km/h, providing an electric range of 1 km.
This hybrid engine ensures faster and smoother transitions during start-up and low-speed acceleration phases, and enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 11 seconds.
Furthermore, this technology allows for energy recovery during vehicle deceleration phases, and under normal driving conditions, the engine is designed to optimize fuel consumption and save up to 15% of CO2 emissions.
The new Fiat 600 hybrid also offers the e-creeping function, allowing for movement without pressing the accelerator, and the ability to park in 100% electric mode, both forward and reverse. The hybrid system also recovers energy during deceleration. In terms of dimensions, the new 600 hybrid presents with 4.17 meters in length, configuration of 5 doors, capacity for 5 people and 15 liters of interior storage space, to which is added a trunk with 385 liters of cargo capacity.
In terms of comfort and connectivity, the new Fiat 600 incorporates, from the hands-free opening trunk door, to automatic air conditioning, light and rain sensors, not forgetting the audio system with 6 speakers, radio with a fully customizable 10″ touch screen, with Navigator, CarPlay and Android Auto, wirelessly, or even a 7″ digital TFT screen.
