Skoda Auto has unveiled the first exterior video of the Vision O design study, showcasing details of the evolution of the Modern Solid design language, which the Czech brand will present at the upcoming Munich Motor Show in September.
A close look at the elegantly sculpted rear of the station wagon model highlights the clear focus on aerodynamics. It is already known that this prototype promises to preview some details of the next generation of the Octavia, which is expected to arrive by the end of the decade and debut the new SSP EV platform from the VW Group, and all indications suggest that it will feature a 100% electric version.
“With the Vision O, we are consistently advancing our ‘Modern Solid’ design language, enhancing its emotional appeal and further refining our brand identity. The new design concept also underscores our commitment to pushing boundaries and continuously bringing innovation to the automotive design of the future. The simple lines emphasize clarity, fully demonstrating that we remain true to our brand values. The Vision O is extremely practical for daily use and features surprising and thoughtfully crafted details.”, said Oliver Stefani, design director at Skoda.
The video revealed by Skoda showcases a new design of the B-pillar, which harmoniously connects to the rear of the body. The sloping roofline, with a divided rear spoiler, leads to the narrow taillights, which form a characteristic “T” shape, evoking the typical “four eyes” lighting motif.
The Skoda inscription and the model designation “Vision O” on the fifth door complement the design of the rear bumper, highlighting the modern and unique exterior style of the prototype.
The world premiere of the Skoda Vision O concept, which anticipates the future of Skoda in the station wagon segment, will take place on September 8, 2025, in Munich.
