Ecclestone Urges Hamilton Retirement! Ferrari Eyeing Hadjar or Bortoleto as Replacement

Bernie Ecclestone, the former Formula 1 boss, has stirred up controversy with his recent comments about Lewis Hamilton’s future in the sport. Ecclestone suggests that it may be time for Hamilton to retire, especially considering his lackluster performance with Ferrari so far.

During the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, Ecclestone didn’t hold back in expressing his opinion on Hamilton’s current struggles. The seven-time world champion has been facing challenges since his move to Ferrari, prompting Ecclestone to advise the team to consider replacing him.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Ecclestone stated, “Lewis is very talented. He was, and probably still is. But like many sports superstars, once they reach their peak, the only way is down. They get tired, and Lewis is tired. He needs to stop, start over, and do something completely different. Maybe he doesn’t think so now, but soon he will get used to doing something else, away from racing. If he continues, he would be lying to himself. He should stop now.”

Ecclestone is already looking beyond Hamilton’s potential exit, suggesting that if he were Hamilton’s manager, he would tell Ferrari, “If you have someone who can replace Lewis, we will step aside. And if I were Lewis, I would ask to be paid for the entire season and say that I can step aside.”

Furthermore, Ecclestone recommended two possible replacements for Hamilton at Ferrari. He mentioned, “If possible, I would take Isack Hadjar from Racing Bulls, who has performed exceptionally well in his debut and is a fantastic young man. Alternatively, my Brazilian friend Gabriel Bortoleto. He is talented,” Ecclestone concluded.

The racing world is now abuzz with speculation about Hamilton’s future and who could potentially fill his shoes at Ferrari. As Ecclestone’s bold statements reverberate through the paddock, all eyes are on Hamilton to see how he will respond to the mounting pressure and criticism.
