Helmut Marko acredita que Yuki Tsunoda deve melhorar ainda mais seu desempenho para ser elegível para uma promoção para a Red Bull.

Yuki Tsunoda outperformed Daniel Ricciardo this year, as the Japanese driver secured VCARB’s only points in the Australian GP. Helmut Marko praised Tsunoda’s impressive performance and set a condition to consider him for Red Bull in 2025. Marko had previously criticized Ricciardo and Tsunoda for being too slow, but after the race in Melbourne, he praised Tsunoda for his competitiveness and composure throughout the race. However, Marko hinted that Tsunoda needed to improve in more races before being considered for a spot at Red Bull.

VCARB faced numerous issues during the 2023 season, especially with the car and drivers. However, the start of the 2024 season has been more comfortable for Tsunoda and Ricciardo. Tsunoda highlighted the team’s consistent performance as a strong point this time, unlike his campaign in 2023. He also emphasized the importance of avoiding errors that could harm the team’s results. The Australian GP gave VCARB confidence for the upcoming Japanese GP.

On the other hand, Daniel Ricciardo has been struggling against Yuki Tsunoda. As a result, it is reported that Ricciardo has been given a two-race ultimatum to improve his performance. Only time will tell how Ricciardo will fare in the upcoming races. Currently, VCARB’s main requirement is consistent results and decent points in each race week.
