Primeiro veículo elétrico da Hyundai na China será lançado em setembro

A Beijing Hyundai, a joint venture between Hyundai Motor Company and the Chinese BAIC, officially announced the launch of its first 100% electric SUV, named E0.

The model previously known as Elexio is expected to arrive in the world’s largest automotive market, China, in September 2025, marking the beginning of Beijing Hyundai’s “Year of New Energy.” The company has already announced plans to launch more than five fully electric models over the next three years, at affordable prices.

In terms of design, the EO features daytime running lights inspired by the concept of lucky crystals, incorporating the number “8” into the shape of the light. The SUV measures 4.61 meters in length, 1.87 m in width, and 1.67 m in height. Additionally, the EO comes with 20-inch wheels.

The new EO will be available in front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations. The FWD version has a single electric motor producing 215 hp, while the AWD version adds a rear motor of 94 hp, resulting in a combined power of 312 hp.

Both powertrains are powered by lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries from FinDreams, a subsidiary of BYD, with an estimated range of up to 700 km in the generous Chinese CLTC cycle. Both versions announce a maximum speed of 185 km/h.

In terms of intelligent driving capabilities, the EO will be equipped with automatic driving assistance “Haomo.ai,” offering L2+ level support for an assisted driving experience.
