A shocking revelation has been made by Aston Martin’s F1 chief regarding Fernando Alonso’s injury ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix FP1 exclusion. The two-time champion will be sidelined for the first practice session in Hungary due to a muscular issue, with reserve driver Felipe Drugovich stepping in.

Speaking to the press, Aston Martin team principal Mike Krack detailed Alonso’s condition, attributing the injury to the demanding F1 calendar. Despite efforts to optimize recovery time, Alonso will aim to return for the second practice session.

Krack emphasized the team’s focus on enhancing Alonso’s comfort in the car, indicating adjustments to his seating position. While the switch between drivers may seem challenging, Krack expressed confidence in Drugovich’s ability to seamlessly fill in for Alonso.

The decision to prioritize Alonso’s well-being showcases the team’s commitment to his health and performance on the track. As fans eagerly await Alonso’s potential return for FP2, the F1 community remains on edge following this unexpected development.
