In a groundbreaking move that is set to shake the foundations of Ferrari’s Formula 1 team, Charles Leclerc has hailed the renewal of Fred Vasseur as a pivotal moment in the iconic team’s quest for glory.

The announcement, made just before the Hungarian Grand Prix, confirmed that Vasseur will lead Ferrari beyond 2025 with a new multi-year deal. This decision has put an end to swirling rumors in the media about Vasseur’s future, a move that has garnered immense approval from Leclerc and his teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Leclerc, who first collaborated with Vasseur during his rookie F1 season in 2018, expressed his elation at the news, emphasizing the importance of stability within the team amidst speculations and external pressures. The young driver highlighted the impact of Vasseur’s calm leadership style, attributing it to creating a more composed and focused environment within Ferrari.

The decision to retain Vasseur comes at a critical juncture for Ferrari, as the team grapples with a winless streak in 2025, intensifying the pressure to break their title drought. Leclerc acknowledged the weight of expectations following their near-miss in the previous season but emphasized the need to block out external noise and concentrate on the task at hand.

Looking ahead to the upcoming technical regulations overhaul in 2026, Leclerc expressed optimism about Ferrari’s future under Vasseur’s continued guidance. The driver underlined the significance of stability in building a successful team in Formula 1, hinting at a bright future with Vasseur at the helm for the next four years.

With Vasseur’s renewed leadership and Leclerc’s unwavering support, Ferrari is gearing up for a resurgence in the competitive world of Formula 1. The stage is set for a new chapter in Ferrari’s storied history, with Vasseur steering the team towards a brighter and more successful future on the racetrack.
