Genesis Motor Europe announced this Thursday the appointment of Peter Kronschnabl as General Director, effective August 4. Kronschnabl will succeed Xavier Martinet, who held the position on an interim basis, concurrently with that of CEO of Hyundai Motor Europe.
With over three decades of experience in the automotive industry, Kronschnabl has held various leadership positions at the BMW Group, in the areas of regional management, marketing, sales, and business development. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Market Development and Special Sales since 2021, leading the responsibility for the emerging markets of the BMW Group.
“With his extensive experience in premium automotive brands, proven track record of leadership, and strategic thinking, Peter Kronschnabl is perfectly positioned to lead the next phase of Genesis’s growth in Europe”, said Xavier Martinet in a statement.
It is worth noting that Genesis announced in June its expansion into four new markets, complementing its existing operations in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Switzerland.
Thus, Genesis will launch its electrified product line in France, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, with the first deliveries to customers in early 2026.
