Honda mostra o novo N-One E, um citadino elétrico que vai chegar à Europa

Honda has just revealed the N-One E in Japan, the second urban electric vehicle from the Japanese brand, also known as a “kei car,” following the N-VAN E, which was launched in October of last year.

The N-One E is visually inspired by “kei cars,” which are very popular in Japan, although it is slightly longer, measuring about 3.9 meters. The technical details are still unknown. Honda has only stated that the vehicle aims to demonstrate how a small electric car can be practical and fun to drive.

The Japanese brand stated that the new electric model was “developed in an attempt to find the ideal electric vehicle”, featuring a unique design, spacious interior, and enough range for daily trips. The N-ONE E is the electric version of Honda’s retro kei car, the N-One, which has been sold in Japan since 2012.

Aesthetically, it is very similar to the gasoline-powered model; however, this electric variant comes with a new look, highlighted by the black grille, two additional charging ports at the front, round headlights, and the vertical pillars that convey a retro-futuristic style.

The interior, on the other hand, has been completely remodeled compared to the gasoline model to maximize space, and includes a reasonably sized infotainment screen and a button gear selector. Additionally, the rear seat can be folded down completely or partially to accommodate luggage or longer items. Alternatively, the rear seat can be folded to accommodate taller items.

According to Honda, the N-One E was designed to be launched globally, so it is expected to reach the European market after a prototype was revealed at the latest edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom. The Japanese brand promises that the small vehicle will be equipped with a “high-capacity battery,” however, we still have to wait for the specifications.
