In a heart-pounding turn of events at Spa-Francorchamps, Liam Lawson expressed his sheer frustration at narrowly missing out on a spot in the top 10 shootout. The young driver, known for his tenacity on the track, described the minuscule margins at the famed circuit as “crazy,” following an untimely exit from the sprint qualifying session.

Despite showcasing impressive speed, Lawson found himself in 11th place, a mere 0.041 seconds behind Oscar Piastri in 10th. Reflecting on his performance, the New Zealander lamented a minor error in the final corner that cost him a coveted top 10 finish. “It’s just tiny things that make a difference, so it’s knocked us out,” Lawson remarked, highlighting the unforgiving nature of competition at Spa.

While disappointment lingered, Lawson remains optimistic about his chances in the upcoming sprint race, where he could still secure valuable points by finishing in the top eight. Looking ahead to the grand prix qualifying session, Lawson emphasized the need to capitalize on the lessons learned from the sprint qualifying setback. “It’s sensitive stuff, trying to maximize everything, for us as well as drivers, trying to put everything together,” he explained.

With the unpredictable winds at Spa adding an extra layer of complexity, Lawson is focused on extracting every ounce of performance from his car to propel himself higher up the grid. As the tension mounts and the stakes soar, all eyes are on Lawson as he gears up for a fierce comeback in the ultimate pursuit of glory on the racetrack.
