Red Bull Racing in Turmoil: Liam Lawson Breaks Silence on Christian Horner’s Shocking Exit

In a shocking turn of events, Christian Horner, the long-standing team boss of Red Bull Racing, was unceremoniously sacked after more than 20 years at the helm. The tension within the team had been simmering for over a year, culminating in Horner’s abrupt departure following the British Grand Prix. The reins have now been handed over to Laurent Mekies, with the Racing Bulls entering a new era under the leadership of Alan Permane.

Amidst the chaos, Liam Lawson, who briefly teamed up with Max Verstappen at the start of the F1 2025 season, has finally broken his silence. Lawson revealed that during his stint with Red Bull Racing, he was oblivious to any underlying friction between Horner and other key figures. The young driver emphasized the need to trust Mekies to continue the team’s success and expressed his admiration for the new team principal.

With the Belgian Grand Prix marking Red Bull’s first race without Horner since their debut in 2005, Lawson remains unfazed by the recent changes. He believes that the team’s focus should remain on their performance on the track, with the car showing promising speed in recent races.

Lawson’s endorsement of Mekies and Permane’s capabilities comes at a crucial juncture for Red Bull Racing. The young driver is confident that the team will not falter under new leadership and is optimistic about the future under Mekies’ guidance.

As the dust settles on Horner’s shocking exit, the Formula 1 community is left reeling from the unexpected turn of events. Lawson’s insights provide a glimpse into the inner workings of Red Bull Racing during a tumultuous period of change. The stage is set for a new chapter in the team’s history, with Mekies at the helm and Lawson ready to make his mark on the track.

Stay tuned as the drama unfolds at Red Bull Racing, with all eyes on Mekies and Permane to steer the team to victory in the upcoming races. The F1 world is watching closely as the Racing Bulls navigate through uncertain waters towards a brighter future.
