Xpeng, the Chinese smart mobility brand, was the only automotive manufacturer from China invited to participate in the Workshop on Autonomous Driving, part of the prestigious Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) 2025, which took place in Nashville, USA.
The Workshop brought together industry and academic experts from institutions such as Waymo, NVIDIA, UCLA, and the University of Tübingen to explore cutting-edge technologies in the field of autonomous driving. It was an opportunity for XPeng to showcase its latest advancements in AI-based autonomous driving.
“In a new era driven by real data and large-scale fleets, cutting-edge research in autonomous driving is migrating to manufacturers that dominate the smart mobility ecosystem. XPeng’s participation in CVPR is a clear example of how the automotive industry is giving back to academic research practical knowledge and applied innovation”, the brand stated in a press release.
At the same time, the brand announced in China the launch of the G7, the world’s first production vehicle powered by artificial intelligence, equipped with an L3-level computing platform. Currently, XPeng markets three 100% electric vehicles in the domestic market: the G6 Coupe SUV, the P7 sports sedan, and the G9 family SUV.
