Kevin Harvick, the iconic figure in the world of NASCAR, has sparked controversy with his recent comments on the pit road incident involving Ty Gibbs and Brad Keselowski’s crews at Sonoma Raceway. The seasoned NASCAR star did not hold back as he discussed the split-second dangers and procedural intricacies of pit stops in the NASCAR Cup Series.

During the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series event at Sonoma Raceway, tensions ran high as Ty Gibbs nearly collided with Brad Keselowski’s crew while entering his pit stall. The close call forced Keselowski’s tire carrier to swiftly dodge out of harm’s way, resulting in minor injuries. Despite the heated moment between the two crews, NASCAR officials intervened before matters escalated further. Following a review, NASCAR determined that Gibbs had not violated any rules, as the lead car is granted the right of way when entering its stall, leading to no penalties being imposed.

In a bold statement, Kevin Harvick emphasized the importance of responsibility on the part of the pit crew members, suggesting that if he were in a similar situation as a driver, he would not hesitate to take action. “Move your tires. You don’t want to get hit by the car; move your tires. That’s your responsibility,” Harvick declared, shedding light on the intense dynamics of pit road operations.

Harvick, known for his illustrious racing career spanning 23 full seasons and 60 Cup Series victories, including prestigious wins at the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400, holds a significant presence in the NASCAR realm. Transitioning from a celebrated driver to a respected broadcaster, Harvick continues to make waves with his insights and predictions in the world of auto racing.

Looking ahead to the 2025 AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Dover Motor Speedway, Harvick singled out Kyle Larson from Hendrick Motorsports as his top pick for securing victory at the upcoming race. Expressing admiration for Larson’s speed and driving prowess, Harvick’s endorsement adds anticipation to the much-anticipated event at Dover.

As the NASCAR community awaits the thrilling showdown at Dover Motor Speedway, with drivers like Joey Logano and Bubba Wallace also in the spotlight, Harvick’s expert analysis sets the stage for an action-packed and riveting race day. Stay tuned as the drama unfolds on the track, promising adrenaline-pumping moments and unexpected triumphs in the world of NASCAR.
