MG apresenta o CyberX: um SUV elétrico com faróis escamoteáveis

Presented as a concept at the last edition of the Shanghai Auto Show, the CyberX is a 100% electric SUV that is expected to hit European roads within two years.

The confirmation was made by MG’s product and planning director, David Allison, to the British publication “Autocar”, who revealed that a production version is “very likely“. The same official was particularly impressed with MG’s speed of development, now owned by the Chinese SAIC.

The new CyberX, designed by Jozef Kaban, a veteran automotive designer with experience at brands such as Audi, Skoda, Bugatti, BMW, Rolls-Royce, and VW, measures 4.3 meters in length, and can coexist with similarly sized proposals such as the ZS or ES5, featuring a boxy image as well as clean and minimalist surfaces.

Based on SAIC’s E3 platform, which is specific for electric models and whose battery is part of the car’s structure, a solution that allows for weight reduction and improved rigidity, the CyberX features a front section marked by a light signature with retractable headlights, which according to Jozef Kaban are inspired by the Ferrari Testarossa, along with an LED light strip running the full width of the front placed below the headlights.

Remember that the Cyber-X concept was recently unveiled at the Goodwood Festival, and officially the SUV anticipates a new direction for the brand’s design language. As a concept, the Cyber X celebrates MG’s design potential and offers a glimpse into the future of the brand’s electric mobility.
