The Fiat Grande Panda has won the “Red Dot Award 2025” in the “Product Design” category, one of the most important design awards in the world. The news was revealed during the Designers’ Night event held in Essen, Germany, which brought together an international jury of 43 specialists.
The model was recognized for its combination of style and functionality, both inside and out, featuring a modern look that recalls elements of the original Panda from the 1980s. One of the visual highlights is the luminous signature with PXL LED technology, which references retro video games and the design of the windows of the Lingotto factory, an icon of Italian industrial architecture.
Additionally, for the first time in the automotive industry, recycled aluminum and plastic from beverage packages are integrated into the blue plastic of the interior, equivalent to the use of 140 recycled packages per vehicle. Fiat is also paving new paths with the BAMBOX Bamboo Fiber Tex, a sustainable bamboo-based fabric used in the dashboard of the Grande Panda La Prima.
“Our goal with the Grande Panda was to combine simplicity, ingenuity, and style. Winning the Red Dot Award with a car that embodies the evolution of Fiat’s DNA is a great source of pride. We see this prestigious award as an indication that responsible mobility can still evoke emotions”, said Olivier François, CEO of Fiat.
