The 100% electric SUV coupé Polestar 4 achieved the highest rating of five stars in the latest round of tests by the Euro NCAP, the leading independent vehicle safety assessment program in Europe.
The model is available in the European market with two configurations: Long Range Dual motor and Long Range Single motor. In the Single motor version, equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor that delivers 272 hp and 343 Nm of maximum torque, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds. The top speed is limited to 180 km/h.
On the other hand, the Dual motor variant, with two electric motors, one per axle, featuring all-wheel drive, has a power output of 544 hp and 686 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
In the tests conducted, Euro NCAP evaluated the Long Range Single motor version of the Polestar 4, which recorded its best result in the adult protection category with 92%, while child protection received a rating of 85%.
As for the protection of more vulnerable road users, the Polestar 4 received a rating of 81%, while in terms of assistance and safety systems, the MGS5 achieved 79%.
Remember that the 100% electric Polestar 4 is equipped with a wide range of driving assistants such as adaptive cruise control with stop & go; lane keeping assist; blind spot monitoring with active correction; automatic emergency braking; traffic sign recognition; 360º cameras and proximity sensors; driver monitoring system (with interior camera); pre-installation for Level 2+ semi-autonomous driving.
