Jenson Button Slams Leclerc’s Silverstone Nightmare: The Shocking Truth Revealed!

Jenson Button Slams Leclerc’s Performance at Silverstone: “Do the Opposite of What He Does”

Former F1 champion Jenson Button didn’t hold back on his criticism of Charles Leclerc’s disappointing performance at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone. The race was marred by heavy rain and unpredictable weather conditions, putting the skills of the drivers to the ultimate test.

Leclerc, starting from sixth on the grid, finished a dismal 14th at Silverstone after a series of strategic errors, including a misguided decision to switch to dry tires at the end of the formation lap. The Monegasque driver took full responsibility for his mistakes but struggled throughout the race, with multiple driving errors that even impacted his ex-teammate Carlos Sainz’s race.

Button didn’t mince his words, stating, “It seems that in a tough race like this, you have to do the opposite of what Charles Leclerc does.” The veteran driver highlighted Leclerc’s and his team’s inability to perform well under challenging conditions, emphasizing their consistent struggle to deliver their best when the going gets tough.

In contrast, Button praised Lewis Hamilton’s performance, who finished fourth in the race. He commended Hamilton’s skills and daring overtaking maneuvers, particularly his epic move on the restart at Turn 3, where he passed two cars on the outside. Button lauded Hamilton’s racecraft and competitive spirit, applauding his thrilling battle with George Russell and successful overtaking of Pierre Gasly.

The contrasting performances of Leclerc and Hamilton at Silverstone have once again sparked debates about drivers’ abilities to excel under pressure and in adverse conditions. As the F1 season unfolds, all eyes will be on how the drivers adapt to the ever-changing challenges on the track.
