Lewis Hamilton Sets Sights on Historic Podium at Silverstone with Ferrari

In a groundbreaking move that could shake the world of Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton is eyeing a remarkable achievement at the upcoming British Grand Prix. The seven-time F1 world champion expressed his belief that clinching his first podium with Ferrari at Silverstone would be nothing short of extraordinary, stating that racing in the iconic red colors would “touch him a bit.”

With an impressive record of nine victories at Silverstone, Hamilton is gearing up to compete in front of his home crowd, fueled by their unwavering support. Following his recent fourth-place finish in Austria, the 40-year-old driver is optimistic about delivering another strong performance this weekend.

Hamilton, who secured victory in the Sprint race in China earlier this year, is yet to step onto the podium for Ferrari on a Sunday race. The British driver sees the British Grand Prix as the perfect setting for this milestone, emphasizing the significance of achieving this feat in front of his loyal fans.

Teammate Charles Leclerc’s podium finish in Austria adds to the anticipation surrounding Ferrari’s performance at Silverstone. As the 2025 season progresses, Leclerc remains hopeful for a competitive showing, acknowledging the team’s gradual progress towards their ultimate goal of winning races.

Reflecting on Ferrari’s last victory at Silverstone in 2022, courtesy of Carlos Sainz, Leclerc believes that while a win may not be imminent this weekend, the team is on the right path towards reclaiming the top spot. With Hamilton’s exceptional track record at Silverstone, Leclerc is optimistic about Ferrari’s prospects in the upcoming race.

As the anticipation builds for the British Grand Prix, all eyes are on Hamilton as he aims to etch his name in the history books by achieving a special podium finish with Ferrari at Silverstone. The stage is set for a thrilling weekend of racing action, with fans eagerly awaiting the outcome of this high-stakes event.
