Red Bull’s Dreams Shattered as Ferrari F1 Record Slips Away

In a shocking turn of events at the Austrian Grand Prix, Red Bull’s hopes of breaking Ferrari’s long-standing F1 record have been crushed. The team’s star driver, Max Verstappen, found himself in a dismal 7th place on the grid after a mishap with yellow flags during qualifying, while his teammate, Yuki Tsunoda, fared even worse in 18th position.

The nightmare continued during the race as Verstappen was involved in a first-lap collision with Kimi Antonelli, leading to his elimination. Meanwhile, Tsunoda finished dead last, failing to secure any points for Red Bull. This unfortunate outcome marked the end of Red Bull’s impressive streak of 77 consecutive points-scoring races, falling just four points short of Ferrari’s all-time record.

Ferrari had previously claimed the record from McLaren in 2013 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with 65 consecutive points finishes, a record that has remained unbroken ever since. With Red Bull resetting to zero, McLaren now holds the longest active points-scoring streak at 49, starting from the 2023 Austrian Grand Prix.

Looking ahead, McLaren would need to maintain their streak until the 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix to surpass Ferrari’s record of 81 consecutive points finishes. The battle for F1 supremacy rages on as teams strive to etch their names in the history books.

Stay tuned for more updates and insights on the world of Formula 1 as the competition heats up and records hang in the balance.
