In the sixth month of 2025, 4,642 100% electric light passenger vehicles were sold in the national market, with a clear highlight for Tesla, which led the sales chart for the first time this year.
According to data from the Automobile Association of Portugal (ACAP), the American manufacturer of 100% electric vehicles ended June as the monthly sales leader of electric light passenger vehicles in Portugal, with a total of 1,315 registered units, representing a growth of 7.3% compared to the same month last year.
The gains in June were not enough to pull Tesla out of the “red” in global sales for the first half, as Elon Musk’s brand sold a total of 4,088 units in Portugal in the first six months, representing a decrease of 25.3% compared to the same period in 2024.
BMW occupied the second position in sales of 100% electric passenger models in June with 390 registered units, an increase of 46.6% compared to the same month last year.
For its part, BYD, which led sales for the first time in May, sold a total of 342 vehicles in the sixth month of 2025, an increase of 50% compared to June 2024.
