Red Bull F1 Team in Turmoil: Yuki Tsunoda’s Struggles Exposed by Helmut Marko

In a shocking revelation, Red Bull’s motorsport advisor, Dr. Helmut Marko, has exposed the significant disadvantage faced by Yuki Tsunoda compared to his teammate Max Verstappen. Tsunoda’s difficulties in adapting to changing conditions with the RB21 have been identified as the primary cause of his poor performance, as he will start the Austrian Grand Prix from a disappointing 18th position, while Verstappen secures 7th place on the grid.

Marko highlighted the narrow working window of the RB21, describing it as a challenging “tightrope walk between going off and just barely keeping it together.” He emphasized that while Tsunoda struggled to adapt, Verstappen excelled in driving over the challenging conditions. The car’s narrow working window and edginess at the limit have posed significant challenges for Tsunoda, unlike other more forgiving cars on the grid.

Tsunoda’s frustration was evident after qualifying, where he expressed his struggles with adjusting to the car’s behavior between different pushes. In contrast, Verstappen, although starting in 7th place, could have potentially secured a much higher grid position if not for a yellow flag incident caused by Pierre Gasly’s spin. Marko argued that the Dutchman could have been in 3rd place if not for the unfortunate circumstances.

The drastic difference in performance between Red Bull and other teams, notably McLaren, has raised concerns within the Red Bull camp. Marko acknowledged the challenges posed by the evolving track conditions but remained optimistic about Verstappen’s potential to climb up the ranks during the race.

As the tension mounts within the Red Bull Racing Team, all eyes are on Tsunoda to see if he can overcome his struggles and deliver a strong performance in the upcoming race. Will Verstappen be able to showcase his exceptional skills and make a remarkable comeback on the Red Bull Ring tomorrow? Stay tuned as the drama unfolds in the high-stakes world of Formula 1.
