Veja: Lord Paul Scriven menciona Lewis Hamilton em debate sobre lavagem esportiva na Arábia Saudita no Parlamento do Reino Unido.

Lewis Hamilton, a well-known advocate for change in the sports community, has consistently spoken out against various forms of injustice in the world. Recently, during a session in the UK Parliament, Hamilton’s name was mentioned in relation to the importance of human rights. Paul Scriven, a member of the House of Lords, took the opportunity to highlight Hamilton’s activism. Throughout his Formula 1 career, Hamilton has never hesitated to express his opinions on critical issues that arise.

The debate in the House of Lords focused on powerful countries like Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, which use sports events to divert attention from their controversial human rights records. The discussion also addressed Formula 1’s perspective on hosting Grand Prix races in these countries.

While Hamilton receives recognition in the debates of the UK Parliament, he faces challenges as a Mercedes driver in the ongoing 2024 Formula 1 season. The former world champion had a difficult start to the season. Before the Australian GP, Hamilton commented on the Mercedes W15, acknowledging that it is an improvement over last year’s car.

Despite setbacks, Hamilton remains optimistic about the potential of the W15 throughout the season. The Mercedes team is working hard to improve the car’s performance, and Hamilton believes there is still much more to come from it this year. With only two stages completed and 22 Grand Prix races remaining on the calendar, the ongoing campaign presents ample opportunities for Hamilton to make his mark.
