In a shocking turn of events, the FIA has once again targeted Ferrari in the latest round of technical inspections at the Canadian Grand Prix. The scrutiny was not limited to just Ferrari but extended to a total of three cars selected for in-depth examinations.
Following the race, the FIA selected three cars for further technical inspections, a process that goes beyond the routine checks for wear and tear, brakes, and weight. The chosen cars were Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari, George Russell’s Mercedes (the race winner), and Oscar Piastri’s McLaren.
The focus of the FIA officials honed in on the fuel pump and all its related components, including the connections to the control unit and software that influence the fuel pump’s operation. Fortunately, all inspected aspects were found to be in compliance with the technical regulations, putting speculations to rest.
