Stelanttis quer regressar à ACEA

Stellantis has announced that it has already begun reviewing its long-term strategic plan. The confirmation was made by the new CEO of the world’s fourth largest automotive group, Antonio Filosa, to the team on Wednesday, during his first public appearance since taking on the new role.

“We have already started analyzing our long-term strategic plan, which we will share when we are ready”, Filosa said in a video call from Turin, Italy, which was revealed by “Reuters.”

The current long-term plan “Dare Forward 2030“, presented in March 2022 by former CEO Carlos Tavares, aimed to double sales by the end of the decade and maintain operating margins in the double digits.

However, Stellantis faced significant commercial and operational difficulties in the United States and Europe in 2024, which forced it to abandon its annual targets and likely contributed to Tavares’ departure.

The plan currently under review also stipulated that 100% of sales in Europe and 50% in the United States would be electric vehicles, and an increase in sales in new markets outside those regions of more than 25%.
