The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) announced that sales in the European Union (EU) recorded a growth of 1.6% in May, with 926,582 vehicles sold, compared to the same month in 2024.
The Volkswagen Group continues to dominate sales in the European Union, with 263,787 units sold, having recorded an increase of 4.8% compared to May 2024.
Stellantis, with its brands, maintained second place with 150,310 units, which represents a decline of 5.2% compared to the 158,533 sold in the same month last year.
The Renault Group ranks third among the best-selling manufacturers in the European Union in May, with 102,039, a growth of 4% compared to May 2024, when the French brand sold 98,081 units.
Closing the top five, the Toyota Group stands out, occupying fourth place with 76,407 units, which represents a decline of 1.9% compared to the 77,891 cars sold in May of last year, while the Hyundai Group took fifth place with 69,979 units, down 4.7% compared to the same month in 2024.
