Volvo is preparing an unprecedented 100% electric version of the EX60 SUV, and on social media, it has now shown a first glimpse of the model, with a launch scheduled for 2026.
Without revealing many details, the Swedish brand states that it is “a very exciting product built on the innovative SPA3 platform designed for greater efficiency and range and with advanced technology”.
The new fully electric EX60 will debut the SPA3 platform designed to learn, adapt, and evolve over time with new features, enabling the use of more efficient electric motors. Additionally, this new Volvo platform can serve various models, regardless of their size, thereby reducing production costs.
It is already known that the new electric EX60 will also debut the world’s first multi-adaptive seatbelt, which adjusts in real-time to the physical characteristics of each occupant and the specific conditions of each accident.
The Swedish brand has already announced that it has high expectations regarding the sales of the new fully electric EX60, considering that the XC60 has recently achieved the status of the best-selling model of all time for Volvo.
