In a high-octane quest for NASCAR Cup Series playoff qualification, Ryan Preece of RFK Racing is revving up his engines and embracing a ‘trust the process’ mentality like never before. Ranked 14th in the standings with 383 points under his belt, the Connecticut-based driver is gunning for a spot among the racing elite.

Behind the wheel of the No. 60 car, Preece is having a breakout season, racking up an impressive seven top-ten finishes in the first 17 races. His stellar performance is a testament to the faith RFK Racing had in him when they signed him during the off-season, recognizing the untapped potential within him.

“I’m gonna work on me, I’m gonna trust the process,” Preece declared, highlighting his newfound approach to racing. By prioritizing listening over talking and adopting a fresh perspective each race weekend, Preece is determined to unleash his full driving capabilities and return to his roots of pure racing.

Having started his Cup Series career with JTG Daugherty Racing in 2019 before transitioning to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2023, Preece found himself at RFK Racing after his former team ceased operations in 2024. Now, with veteran driver Brad Keselowski as his mentor, Preece is honing his skills and sharpening his competitive edge.

As the NASCAR In-Season tournament kicks off in Atlanta, Preece faces a formidable opponent in championship leader William Byron. The single-elimination format tournament pits drivers against each other based on their recent race performances, adding an extra layer of intensity to an already thrilling season.

“I think I got the short straw. It’s going to be a battle,” Preece remarked, acknowledging the tough road ahead. With his playoffs qualification hanging in the balance, Preece is locked in a fierce battle with teammate Chris Buescher for a coveted spot in the playoffs. Eyes set on Atlanta, Preece is gearing up for a showdown where victory could secure his playoff berth and propel him further in the In-Season tournament.

Buckle up, racing fans, as Ryan Preece navigates the twists and turns of the NASCAR circuit with grit, determination, and an unwavering commitment to success.
