Charles Leclerc acredita que a Ferrari desafiará Max Verstappen e a Red Bull em 2024.

Charles Leclerc optimistic about Ferrari’s chances of challenging Max Verstappen on specific tracks this season. Verstappen and Red Bull have been dominating Formula 1 recently, making them the favorites for the 2024 season. Despite this, Leclerc believes that Ferrari can pose a challenge to Red Bull this year.

Leclerc and Ferrari have shown promising speed in qualifying compared to Verstappen. However, when it comes to race pace, Ferrari seems unable to keep up with the current world champions. Although the gap has decreased compared to 2023, Maranello is still at least three to four tenths behind per lap during races.

The Monegasque driver remains optimistic about his team’s prospects. He believes that Ferrari is now in a better position, with clear ideas for further development. Leclerc is confident that Ferrari can challenge Red Bull at some point later this year, although it may only be possible on selected tracks. However, he ruled out the possibility of winning a race for now.

Ferrari has appointed a new Team Principal, who previously worked with Alfa Romeo. This change in leadership has brought a different perspective to Maranello, resulting in a better atmosphere within the team. Leclerc appreciates the new Team Principal’s long-term vision for Ferrari.

Leclerc praised the efforts of the 55-year-old new Team Principal, who was his team boss during his debut season at Sauber. He believes that the new Team Principal has clear ideas for Ferrari’s future, allowing the team to focus on catching up with Verstappen and Red Bull.

Although Ferrari has made significant progress compared to 2023, there is still work to be done to become a title contender again. Leclerc has confidence in the new Team Principal and the team’s future. Fans are eager to see Ferrari continue to improve throughout the year.
