Leapmotor has announced that it has just reached a cumulative sales volume of 800,000 vehicles since the company was founded in 2015.
Furthermore, the Chinese brand announced that between January and May 2025, the cumulative volume of export sales exceeded 17,200 units, ranking first among Chinese startups of 100% electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
It is worth noting that Leapmotor, a participant of Stellantis, launched its first fully electric model in 2019, the S01, a model that sold fewer than 3,000 units until 2021 and was ultimately discontinued in 2022.
In May 2020, Leapmotor launched the electric city car T03, with a range of 400 km, which was one of the first models from the brand to reach the European market.
Since then, Leapmotor’s sales in China have recorded strong growth, and in May, the brand delivered 45,067 vehicles, representing an annual increase of over 148%, raising its cumulative delivery volume to 173,658 vehicles in the first five months of 2025.
In addition, Leapmotor ranked first in sales among electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle startups between March and May.
