Maloney e Crawford prontos para pilotar pela Andretti nas provas de novatos da Fórmula E

Talents from FIA Formula 2, Zane Maloney and Jak Crawford, have been selected to participate in official FIA Formula E test sessions by the Andretti team over the next two months. Maloney, who serves as Reserve and Development Driver for the American team, has already taken part in three test sessions before. The Barbadian driver, who currently leads the F2 Drivers’ Championship for the Rodin team, will have the opportunity to drive in the Free Practice O session on April 12 before the inaugural Misano E-Prix, as well as in the Berlin Rookie Test on May 13 after the double-header in Berlin.

Crawford, who finished second behind Maloney in the F2 season opener in Bahrain and races for the DAMS team, will join Andretti in Berlin for his first Formula E experience. In an official statement, Maloney expressed his excitement for the upcoming tests and thanked the team for their trust in him. He also mentioned his curiosity to see how his development work behind the scenes translates to the actual car on track during the two occasions he will have the opportunity to drive it. Crawford also shared his enthusiasm, describing the opportunity to experience the Gen3 Formula E car as amazing. He expressed his anticipation to drive a fully electric car for the first time and thanked Andretti Formula E for the incredible opportunity.

The Principal Director of Team Andretti, Roger Griffiths, acknowledged Maloney’s valuable contributions to the team through his development work in the simulator and expressed confidence in his knowledge benefiting them during the double-header weekend of the Misano E-Prix and at the Berlin Rookie Test. Griffiths also announced Crawford’s rookie debut at the Berlin Rookie Test, considering it a significant milestone in his career. He looks forward to seeing Crawford showcase his talents on the Formula E stage. These opportunities are in line with Andretti Global’s commitment to developing and guiding the next generation of drivers, and the team is excited to witness the success of Maloney and Crawford on the track.
