Former Formula 1 champion, Nico Rosberg, doesn’t hold back as he criticizes Ferrari’s “clumsy” strategy during the Canadian Grand Prix. Rosberg didn’t mince his words when discussing Ferrari’s performance, pointing out multiple strategy errors that cost the team valuable points in the constructors’ standings. With Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finishing in fifth and sixth place respectively, Ferrari has now slipped to third place, a staggering 191 points behind McLaren.

During the Sky Sports F1 Show podcast, Rosberg highlighted the missteps made by Ferrari, labeling the entire weekend as “clumsy” and lamenting that it reflects the overall narrative of Ferrari’s season. He specifically pointed out how Ferrari failed to capitalize on strategic opportunities, such as opting for a one-stop strategy with Leclerc and compromising Hamilton’s race by pitting him into heavy traffic.

The woes for Ferrari didn’t stop there, as Hamilton encountered a significant loss of downforce after colliding with a groundhog during the race. Despite facing challenges with his car’s performance, Hamilton managed to salvage crucial points for Mercedes, further widening the gap between the two rival teams.

Looking ahead, Ferrari now shifts its focus to the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring, aiming to rectify the mistakes from the Canadian GP and regain momentum in the championship battle.

In a sport where every decision matters, Ferrari’s “clumsy” weekend serves as a stark reminder of the fine margins between success and failure in Formula 1. As the competition heats up, the pressure is on Ferrari to bounce back stronger and prove their mettle on the track.
