Fernando Alonso Slams Lewis Hamilton: War of Words Explodes After GP Drama

In a thrilling turn of events at the end of the GP, Fernando Alonso lashes out at Lewis Hamilton, claiming the British driver doesn’t understand the critical racing protocols. The heated exchange between the two racing icons unfolded during the Canadian Grand Prix, with Alonso expressing his frustration to his race engineer, Chris Cronin. The Aston Martin driver accused Hamilton of deliberately slowing down as the Safety Car returned to the pits, hindering Alonso’s chances of gaining positions in the race.

Alonso, known for his meticulous attention to F1 regulations, questioned his team about their standing in relation to their competitors after crossing the finish line. He criticized Hamilton, stating, “Hamilton doesn’t grasp the importance of staying close to the cars ahead.” The tension escalated as Alonso highlighted the potential implications of Hamilton’s actions, emphasizing the significance of maintaining proximity to avoid penalties.

Despite Alonso’s outcry, further analysis revealed that Hamilton’s positioning was influenced by lapped cars on the track, a factor unbeknownst to Alonso during the heat of the moment. The Spaniard’s concerns about potential penalties were ultimately unfounded, as no sanctions were imposed post-race.

Alonso’s acute awareness of the regulations was evident as he promptly identified the continued Safety Car conditions post-race, cautioning his teammate Lance Stroll about the restrictions on overtaking during the cooldown lap. The veteran driver’s commitment to upholding racing standards showcases his unwavering dedication to fair play and adherence to the sport’s rules.

As the intense rivalry between Alonso and Hamilton unfolds on and off the track, fans are left eagerly anticipating their next showdown. The clash of these titans serves as a reminder of the passion and drama that fuel Formula 1, captivating audiences worldwide with each twist and turn.
