Formula 1 Celebrities Cause a Stir in Times Square: NYPD Encounter Unveiled

In a thrilling turn of events, two Formula 1 stars found themselves in the spotlight in Times Square, New York, this week. Haas duo Ollie Bearman and Esteban Ocon were among the prestigious guests at the launch of the highly-anticipated new F1 movie. The star-studded event was graced by big names like Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, and Damson Idris, adding to the glamour and excitement of the occasion.

The movie, set to be released in the UK on June 25, follows the journey of Sonny Hayes, portrayed by Brad Pitt, making a comeback to partner with his rookie teammate for the fictional APXGP team. Prior to the official release, F1 drivers had a private screening of the film before the Monaco Grand Prix, building up the anticipation among fans and critics alike.

The Haas duo, Bearman and Ocon, had a memorable encounter with the NYPD during the event, where they were stopped by two officers for a quick photo opportunity. The official Haas X account shared the photos with the caption, “When the NYPD pull you over…for a photo,” showcasing the excitement surrounding the event.

The movie launch extravaganza came hot on the heels of the Canadian Grand Prix, where Mercedes’ George Russell clinched his first victory of the season, with Max Verstappen and Kimi Antonelli following closely behind. The event also saw McLaren’s Lando Norris crashing out after a collision with teammate Oscar Piastri, further intensifying the competition among the drivers.

With seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton playing a pivotal role as an advisor in the F1 movie project, director Joseph Kosinski praised Hamilton’s valuable contribution throughout the production. The movie has already garnered attention from critics and F1 insiders, with exclusive previews generating excitement and intrigue around the storyline and performances.

As the countdown begins for the international release on June 25 in the UK and June 27 in North America, fans and enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to witness the high-octane action and drama unfold on the big screen. Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes insights as the F1 movie gears up for its grand debut on the global stage.
