Thailand Set to Host Thrilling F1 Race with $1.2 Billion Investment!

Get ready for the heart-pounding roar of Formula 1 cars racing through the vibrant streets of Bangkok as Thailand gears up to submit a jaw-dropping $1.2 billion bid for hosting an exhilarating F1 race starting in 2028.

The Thai government has given the green light to a proposal that would see a street circuit built in the Chatuchak Park area of the bustling capital city, Bangkok. This ambitious plan has been in the works for months, with top officials, including Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, engaging in discussions with F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali to make this dream a reality.

Thailand’s very own F1 driver, Alex Albon, has thrown his full support behind the event, emphasizing the country’s strong commitment to bringing the prestigious race to its streets. With a budget exceeding 40 billion baht, equivalent to $1.23 billion, allocated to the project, the Thai government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the success of this mega sporting event.

The proposed five-year contract from 2028 to 2033 aims to attract 300,000 visitors over the race weekend, injecting a staggering 14 billion baht into the local economy annually. Not only will the event create around 8,000 new jobs each year, but it is also projected to generate 1.4 billion baht in tax revenue and attract an additional 7 billion baht in new investments.

The Thai government’s strategic move to host an F1 race aligns with its broader agenda to boost the tourism sector, a vital pillar of the country’s economy. With hopes high for a successful bid submission to F1, Thailand is on the fast track to becoming a thrilling destination on the global F1 calendar.

Buckle up, F1 fans, as Thailand revs up to join the elite club of host countries and set the stage for an adrenaline-fueled racing spectacle like no other!
