Max Verstappen teeters on F1 ban edge as rivals’ strategic advice emerges

Max Verstappen’s F1 rivals have been advised to play a dangerous game with the Red Bull driver, as he teeters on the brink of a potential race ban. The former F1 driver Martin Brundle has suggested that competitors should push Verstappen into picking up additional penalty points, a strategy that could see the Dutchman sidelined from racing.

Verstappen’s recent collision with George Russell earned him three penalty points on his super licence, bringing him within just one point of facing a race ban. With the next points set to expire at the end of the month, the pressure is on for Verstappen to navigate the upcoming races cautiously.

Brundle believes that Verstappen’s rivals, including Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren drivers, should capitalize on the situation and provoke the four-time champion on the track. By egging him on to accumulate more penalty points, they could potentially force him out of contention.

Known for his aggressive driving style and on-track maneuvers, Verstappen has faced criticism in the past for his risky tactics. Despite his undeniable talent and success in the sport, his approach has begun to backfire as the consequences of his actions catch up with him.

Brundle highlighted that Verstappen’s aggressive nature has been a constant throughout his F1 career, emphasizing that it is a core part of his racing identity. However, as the competition heats up and the stakes get higher, Verstappen’s aggressive maneuvers may no longer serve him as well as they have in the past.

With the championship battle intensifying and Verstappen facing the looming threat of a race ban, the F1 grid is poised for even more drama and tension in the races to come. As Verstappen treads carefully to avoid further penalties, his rivals are ready to pounce and exploit any opportunity to gain an advantage in the fight for the championship title.
