Lewis Hamilton’s Grim Forecast for Ferrari Amid Ongoing Struggles

Seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton is bracing for a tough battle to make it into the Q3 shootout at the Canadian Grand Prix as Ferrari continues to falter on the track. Despite being one of Hamilton’s favorite circuits, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is proving to be a challenging terrain for the British driver due to the underperforming Italian team.

During the Friday practice sessions in Montreal, Hamilton managed to secure the eighth fastest time in FP2, outperforming his teammate Charles Leclerc, who faced setbacks after damaging his chassis in an FP1 crash. However, Hamilton expressed dissatisfaction with his car’s performance, hinting at a challenging weekend ahead.

Hamilton’s initial optimism from FP1 quickly diminished as the car’s performance deteriorated throughout the day. The Mercedes driver voiced his concerns, stating, “I think it will be a challenge to get into Q3 at this rate, but not impossible. Then I think trying to fight to get into the top five is going to be tough.”

With Ferrari struggling to keep up with the front-runners this season, Hamilton’s apprehensions about the team’s performance at the Canadian Grand Prix highlight the fierce competition in Formula 1. As the race weekend unfolds, all eyes will be on Hamilton and Ferrari to see if they can overcome their challenges and secure a competitive position on the grid.

Stay tuned for more updates and insights as the Canadian Grand Prix unfolds.
