Frederic Vasseur Unleashes Fiery Condemnation on Italian Media: “Defeat in Their Pen

Ferrari Team Principal Launches Scathing Attack on Italian Media: “They Won’t Lead Us to Victory”

The Ferrari team principal, Frederic Vasseur, has fired back at the rumors circulating in the media. Speculations about Vasseur’s future, originating from various Italian outlets, have made their way to the Montreal paddock. Both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have publicly acknowledged the crucial role of the team principal at Ferrari.

Vasseur’s response came during the Friday press conference between FP1 and FP2 of the Canadian Grand Prix. He did not hold back, stating, “It’s not all Italian media, but only a part. It’s not about me because I can handle these things. It concerns more the people in the team. Exposing their names in this way is, in my opinion, a lack of respect towards them and their families.”

The team principal expressed his frustration with the continuous speculations and rumors surrounding the team members. He criticized the media for potentially damaging the team’s focus and concentration, essential elements when competing for the championship. Vasseur added, “If their goal is to put the team in this situation, they have succeeded. But I don’t think that’s how you win a championship. At least not with these types of journalists around us.”

Vasseur emphasized the impact of such rumors on the team members, highlighting that they have families and loved ones who are affected by these speculations. He urged the journalists to consider the human aspect and the respect owed to the individuals working hard behind the scenes. The Ferrari principal concluded by dismissing the issue as “stupid” and refused to entertain further discussion on the matter.

The intense reaction from Vasseur underscores the pressure and scrutiny faced by key figures in the Formula 1 world. As the Ferrari team navigates through challenges on and off the track, Vasseur’s resilience in the face of media scrutiny sets a tone for the team’s unwavering focus on their racing goals.
