Former NASCAR driver and current team owner Brad Keselowski is hinting at a potential return to the world of truck ownership almost a decade after shutting down his previous team.

Keselowski, who now co-owns RFK Racing, previously ran Brad Keselowski Racing, a successful organization in the Craftsman Truck Series. Despite the team’s strong performance, Keselowski made the tough decision to close it in 2017 due to financial reasons and to focus on his Cup Series team ownership aspirations.

In a recent interview, Keselowski expressed his interest in once again owning a team in the Truck Series, stating, “Aspirations [are] to be a part of an organization running IMSA, Cup Series, and the Truck Series at a very high level and competing for wins and championship.” However, he acknowledged that there are other priorities to address first.

Currently, Keselowski is focused on solidifying RFK Racing’s position in the Cup Series. With drivers like Ryan Preece and Chris Buescher under his banner, Keselowski aims to establish his team as a strong contender in the top tier of NASCAR. Despite the fierce competition, Keselowski remains optimistic about his team’s chances of securing a playoff spot.

Having transitioned from owning a Truck Series team to a Cup Series team, Keselowski has encountered different challenges at the highest level of NASCAR. He noted that the landscape is more political in the Cup Series, emphasizing the importance of relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for success.

While Keselowski finds the role of a Cup Series team owner to be the most fulfilling, his interest in returning to truck ownership highlights his passion for the sport and desire to compete across multiple series. As he continues to navigate the complexities of team ownership, Keselowski remains a prominent figure in the NASCAR community, poised for potential future endeavors in the Truck Series.
